We all know that times are increasingly hard for solicitors.
The previously reliable income stream from conveyancing has virtually dried up and other sectors of the market are slowing down. Claims management companies are actively pursuing personal injury prospects and who knows what the MoJ proposals will mean for PI referrals in the future?

Although there may be merit in locking the doors and hoping that no more business will escape, adopting a proactive approach might be far more effective.

ManORR has put together a scheme to provide solicitors with new opportunities to

  • enhance their potential for receiving new instructions.

ManORR runs a 24/7 Incident Reporting Line (IRL) which helps businesses fulfill the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act with regard to work-related driving. Employees registered with the line are obliged, under their contract of employment, to call the IRL and report any collision that occurs whilst on work journeys - irrespective of type, or ownership, of the vehicle they are driving.

All drivers registered through the scheme are linked to the initiating solicitor. This means that the solicitor has the opportunity to advise the company and/or driver involved in an incident as soon as possible. Any personal injury work generated through this scheme should be free from referral fees, irrespective of the MoJ decision.

The new contacts made could also open up many further opportunities to take new instructions in a wide
variety of disciplines.
